Why cruise guests pick us

One day ashore is plenty, if you spend it right.

You get one day on Maui. Most port excursions hand you a beach and a gift shop. We take you the whole way out, let you swim where the water is cold and clear, and still have you back with time to spare.

We watch the clock so you never have to

Your guide follows your ship's real arrival, not the one printed on your itinerary, then plans the whole day backward from all-aboard with honest room to spare. Nobody on our tours has ever had to rush.

Zero ships missed · 4+ years

Your guide plans it. You just show up.

John, Melissa, Spencer, Lawaia, Ida and the rest of our local guides have driven this road hundreds of times. Tell them you love waterfalls, or beaches, or good food, or nothing at all, and they will shape the day to fit. No itinerary to study, no decisions before you arrive.

Named by guests in hundreds of reviews

A luxury SUV, not seat 34B

Just your people and your guide in a new Tahoe or Suburban. Stop when something catches your eye, swim if the water looks good, stay as long as you want. No forty stranger bus, no scripted loop, no waiting on anyone.

Tahoe or Suburban · Your group only

We are already at the pier

No taxi line, no rental counter, no wandering the port hoping someone shows. Your guide texts you the night before and again that morning with the vehicle they are in, and brings you right back to the same spot.

Three ways to spend it.

Every tour is private and fully customisable. Tell your guide what pulls you and they will build the day around it. Port pick up, snacks, park fees and ship tracking come with every one.

Your ship docks

We are already there

Your guide texts you the night before, and again that morning with the vehicle, and is parked waiting when you come off the ship. Bags in the back, cold water in the cooler, air conditioning already running.

MILE14
First hours

Honomanū Bay

A black sand cove where a freshwater river comes down out of the valley and meets the ocean. The tour buses drive right past the turnoff. Your guide knows exactly where it is.

MILE17
Mid-morning

Keʻanae Peninsula

Taro fields, a lava shoreline the ocean has been hammering for centuries, and Aunty Sandy's banana bread. Still warm. Worth every stop.

MILE19
Late morning

Three Bears Falls

Three falls side by side dropping into one pool under the bridge. After a good rain they run together into a single sheet of water.

MILE32
Midday

Waiʻānapanapa and Hana town

Sea caves, lava tubes and sand made of crushed volcanic glass when reservations allow, then real food in Hana town.

We build in real room, not a hopeful guess. You come back with time to spare, which is exactly why we have never missed a ship.

Notch one off the bucket list

Arnold's family had Hana on their list but were uneasy about ten hours of hairpin turns and one-lane bridges. Melissa drove every mile, narrated each stop, and never rushed them at the waterfalls, the black sand, the red sand, or the turtles. His verdict: the best tour guide we ever had.

Three generations in one vehicle. John timed the drive so precisely he called ahead and their pizza was ready in Hana. He drove the dark road home while everyone slept, and her nine-year-old, who gets severe motion sickness, had none at all.

Some highlights of my life

They arrived knowing almost nothing about Maui. Spencer taught them the island and made room for everyone, including a toddler and a guest with mobility needs, at every single stop. Sea turtles, waterfalls, and the best day of their trip through the islands.

What cruise guests ask us.

Yes, and we stand behind it. We have never missed a departure. Your guide watches your ship's real arrival and plans the day backward from all-aboard with genuine room built in. If you dock late, we reshape the route on the spot.

Right at the cruise pier. Your guide texts you the night before with their name, mobile number and the exact spot to walk to, then messages again the morning of to tell you which vehicle they are in. If anything shifts you can text them directly.

Very. Comfortable SUVs, a gentle pace, and a stop whenever anyone wants one. Guests bring parents in their seventies and eighties all the time, and our reviews mention guests with mobility needs being looked after properly.

Our guides drive this road for a living and pace it to avoid exactly that. One guest wrote that her nine year old, who normally gets badly carsick on winding roads, had no trouble at all. Bring medication if it gives you peace of mind, but most people never need it.

Full refund with twenty four hours notice. If weather or anything outside your control gets in the way, you get a full refund or credit no matter the timing. Cruise itineraries change and we plan for it.

Shoes that can get muddy, reef safe sunscreen, a towel and swimsuit if you want to get in the water, and a little cash for the roadside fruit stands. Water and snacks are on us.

What we handle

Four things that go wrong on a port day.

All four of them are ours to carry, not yours.

Getting off the ship and finding your ride

We are parked at the pier before you dock, and you already have your guide's number. No taxi queue, no rental counter, no standing around a port with your phone in the air.

Your ship arriving late

We follow the real arrival time, not the printed one. If you dock two hours late we have already rebuilt the day before you reach the gangway.

Cutting it close on the way back

We plan backward from all-aboard with real margin. Guests write over and over that they never felt rushed. That is the entire point.

Seeing the wrong half of the island

Most port day excursions give you a beach and a shopping street. You get the road people fly to Maui just to drive.

Phenomenal private Road to Hana

Lorianne points out you could rent a Jeep and see the same valleys. What changed the day was Spencer, who taught them the language, the customs, and what the first settlers carried over by canoe. Coffee, a botanical garden lunch, coconut ice cream, handmade cacao, and green sea turtles.

Better than we expected

The weather turned on them, which made the waterfalls enormous. Lawaia knew the island well enough to rebuild the whole day around the rain and took them into a lava tube they'd never have found alone.

A group of seven, all engaged

Gautama's nine-year-old spent most of the drive asking John questions and said the tour was far more fun than he expected. John was flexible, took their photos, and gave real lunch options with a clear favourite. His advice: let someone else drive so everyone can actually enjoy it.

Amazing company and staff

This family never took their tour. The Lahaina fires displaced them and they were about to sleep in a rental car in a grocery store car park. Spencer offered them his own home instead. They left five stars anyway, because of who these people turned out to be.
