Port times decide what's possible on Maui far more than anything else does. Find your ship below, see your real window, and get a straight answer about whether the Road to Hana works for you — including when the answer is no.
Only two or three of you? Split the cost with others from your sailing →
Kahului is the only port in Hawaiʻi from which the Road to Hana is reachable at all — Hilo and Kona are a different island, Nawiliwili is Kauaʻi. So whatever your sailing, this is the day it has to happen on, if it happens.
Eleven hours or more ashore: the full Road to Hana fits with real margin. That's most Princess and Carnival calls, and every Pride of America sailing.
Nine to ten hours: it's tight. We'd usually run you the half-day private Hana instead — you see the waterfalls, the bamboo and the best of the coast, and you aren't watching a clock all afternoon.
Pride of America, any week: you overnight. You get two days, and the full road is comfortable rather than ambitious. Here's that page.
Straight answers, no sales pitch: Can you do Hana from a cruise ship? · Will I miss my ship? · How long does it take? · Waiʻānapanapa reservations
Only two or three of you? The price is for the whole vehicle, so make a share link and let others from your sailing join you in the vehicle. Two guests is $650 each; six is $283.
Times are the published port schedule as of October 2026 and they do change — weather, mechanical trouble, itinerary swaps. Your own booking confirmation is the one that counts. Verified against two independent port schedules; we'd still rather you sent us yours.
Text us any time — it's the fastest way to reach us, and a real person on Maui answers, not a call centre. Calls welcome too.
